In a time of crisis, supplies need to be delivered fast. Lower Atmosphere Delivery System (LADS) make this possible by positioing space pods filled with supplies in low orbits similar to the International Space Station. Built with a radiation resistant outer shell mined from astroids, LADS would act as shelters. 1000's would orbit the earth. They would be well stocked with survival needs, including food, water, medical supplies and advanced robot technology for mining and building. Following a natural disaster, like an earthquake, LADS would quickly arrive with search and rescue technology. Their dome shape provides a strong shelter and will be an essential quick habitat for growing food and blocking radiation as we explore other planets.

A parachute slows a LAD as it approaches the earth. Rocket engines ignite on the bottom in the final minute to provide a soft landing.
